What is interview ?

Before jumping ship to a new company, you inevitably need to test the waters during the job interview. The purpose of a job interview is twofold: It offers the employer valuable insight into your personality and abilities, and it allows you the chance to discern whether your credentials and career goals match up with what the company seeks.

INTERVIEW DO'S

• Do your research and know the type of job interview you will encounter.
• Ensure that your clothes are cleaned and pressed.
• Avoid strong perfumes, use colognes.
• Your personal grooming and cleanliness should be impeccable.
• Plan to arrive about 10 minutes early.
• Do dress the part for the job, the company, the industry
• Greet the interviewer with a smile.
• Wait until you are offered a chair before sitting.
• Do make good eye contact with your interviewer(s).
• Show enthusiasm in the position and the company. 

• Have a high confidence and energy level.
• Remember body language and posture: sit upright and look alert and interested at all times.
• Show off the research you have done on the company and industry when responding to questions.
• Show what you can do for the company rather than what the company can do for you.
• When asked to pose any questions to the interviewer, if any, make sure you ask a good question (may be you can ask about the policies of the company etc.)
• Thank the interviewer before leaving the room.
